What are MetroShops?

MetroShops are operated by local businesses that sell their products and/or services directly online through MetroMalls.com or through MetroShops.com. A customer can choose to only shop locally through their Metro Area mall i.e.; Chicago.MetroMalls.com, or they can easily extend their search to MetroShops in any operating area. If you choose to stay in your local mall, you will only be shopping there. If you choose to "view all sellers products" from a product's detail page, you will then be shopping at that store. If you want to check out all the MetroShops anywhere, then you can do that too. In all cases you will only be using a single shopping cart and only have to check out once!

Shopping local can be a big advantage to consumers. You get to use the convenience of the Internet, but have the option in many cases to pickup or return an item directly to the store's physical location. Because MetroShops offers a low cost solution, smaller retailers that have great products and services can sell them directly to the customers in their market. And, customers that might not buy from a smaller online merchant should feel more comfortable buying online from a business that they know is local to them.

Unlike ClickShopSave.com, product pricing and shipping is strictly controlled by the merchants, but MetroShops.com™ product listing features will allow customers to easily do comparison pricing locally or nationally.

Sounds pretty cool doesn't it? Truthfully, it isn't quite done yet, and when it is, it'll take a little while to add a lot of merchants and products.
